Vice President, Safety
Frank Trujillo provides strategic oversight of Miller & Long’s safety initiatives, including a $1M company-wide safety training program. He supervises a team of 30 and manages a budget of $3M, in addition to $2M in consumable and non-consumable assets. He also serves as a liaison with federal and state regulatory agencies to advise and testify on proposed laws and regulations affecting the industry.
Mr. Trujillo began his career at Miller & Long in 2009 as North Carolina’s regional safety director. In this role, he conducted site audits and safety training for 700+ employees. Then, in 2011, he was promoted to corporate safety director, where he oversaw the company-wide safety training program. Mr. Trujillo managed a comprehensive risk management approach to build company-wide engagement in risk assessment and control, to mitigate risk exposure. He was promoted to vice president of safety and health in 2014.
In all, Mr. Trujillo has been in the construction safety field for nearly 20 years. He is currently a board member of the Chesapeake Region Safety Council and is a member of various committees with Associated Builders and Contractors, the American Society of Safety Engineers, and the American National Standards Institute.
