The Infinity System is an innovative, noncombustible steel and concrete structural framing option for multifamily dwellings. The system consists of pre-panelized load-bearing metal stud walls and concrete on a 2” dovetail metal deck. With a Sound Transmission Class Rating of 54-58, the Epicore MSR Composite Floor System scores the highest rating for airborne noise control compared to other systems. The Infinity System composite slab achieves a fire rating immediately after the concrete is cast. There are no additional treatments required to create a fire rated floor assembly. A variety of ceiling treatments are available to meet the design requirements, including drywall, paint, popcorn or leaving the deck exposed. These slabs are typically reinforced with welded wire fabric and 0.5-1.5psf of rebar reinforcing.
ENERGY EFFICIENT SOLUTIONS
For owners looking to reduce energy usage and cost, it is recommended to install MSR33 insulated wall panels as part of the Infinity System. This reduces the overall construction schedule as the insulation, vapor barrier and sheathing are all installed as part of the structural component. Typically, the additional expense of this option is recaptured in 1.5 to 2 years from the savings of the building heating and cooling costs. MSR33 wall panels® are a great solution for the environmentally and fiscally conscious owners.
